Join HOSA
What does being a member of HOSA mean?
HOSA Future Health Professionals is an organization for students who are interested in pursuing a career in the medical field. Being a part of HOSA allows students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a setting by offering job shadow and volunteer opportunities.
How do I join HOSA?
If your school already has a chapter affiliated, simply talk to the chapter advisor about becoming a member. State fees are $7 while National fees are $10. That makes a total of $17, but once a student pays these fees, they can begin to enjoy the wonderful opportunities that HOSA has to offer.
How do I start a chapter at my school?
For students, the first step to creating an affiliated HOSA chapter is talking to a health science or biomedical science teacher. Let them know you are interested in HOSA and ask if they would be willing to be your advisor. Then, have them follow these steps to create a chapter!
1. Gain administration approval
2. Secure an advisor(s) and have them complete the Advisor Contact Form
3. Find a minimum of 5 students interested to become affiliated members
4. Advisor will submit the New Chapter Request Form
